Thinking out loud about AI, rabbit holes, and human experiences.

What Is This?

Outloud is a place for thinking out loud — about AI, rabbit holes, and human experiences.

It's not a blog in the traditional sense. There's no schedule, no niche, no content strategy. It's more like a public notebook: a place where ideas go to be tested against the act of writing.

Some posts are about technology. Some are about the experience of being a person who uses technology. Some start with a CSS bug and end up at the philosophy of smoothness. That's the kind of place this is.

Why "Out Loud"?

Because thinking privately is safe and thinking publicly is useful. When you write something down and put it where others can see it, you think more carefully. You notice the gaps. You discover what you actually believe versus what you assumed you believed.

Every post here is a snapshot of understanding — partial, provisional, probably wrong in ways I'll only see later. That's fine. The goal isn't to be right. It's to be less wrong over time.

How It's Built

This site is built with Next.js, TypeScript, and MDX. Content lives in the git repo as Markdown files. No CMS, no database, no admin panel. If you want to see how something works, the source is right there.

This isn't accidental. The tools shape the thinking, and these tools reward simplicity, version control, and working in plain text. A post is a file. A revision is a commit. Publishing is a push.

Who

A developer who thinks writing is underrated, rabbit holes are undervalued, and the most interesting things happen at the edges between disciplines.
